When couples come in to our warehouse we love to share how vintage rentals can help personalize their wedding and make it unique to their style and vision. Details can really take a wedding from a spectacular event to a spectacular event that is filled with special meaning to the couple and their guests. We are proud to have a few of our rentals as a part of the Tessa Kim’s 2015 Spring/Summer Lookbook. The bridal accessories, including veils and adornments, from Tessa Kim’s 2015 Spring/Summer collection was photographed by Deyla Huss Photography on the gorgeous grounds of the Villa Catalana Cellars in Oregon City, Oregon. Petalos styled the photoshoot for a simple and elegant compliment to the Elizabeth Dye wedding gowns and Tessa Kim’s bridal accessories.

Have you been wanting to learn calligraphy but don’t know where to start? Join us for this beginning calligraphy workshop led by Jenny Sanders of Graceline where you will learn the basics of pointed pen calligraphy in this three hour workshop.

Beginning Calligraphy Workshop Details:

Jenny will go over basic tools, techniques and styles including letter forms.  You will also work through an example alphabet from a – z and learn how to well as ways to find your own voice and style through your calligraphy.

A curated supply set is provided and is yours to take home including a pen holder, three nibs, black ink + white ink,  an example alphabet, and practice sheets.

Upon completion of the class, you should leave with:

  • the understanding of pointed pen calligraphy tools and how to use them;
  • the concept of pressure + release for thin upstrokes + thick downstrokes;
  • the grasp of the structure an entire alphabet and connecting letters;
  • the beginnings of developing your own calligraphy style.

There will also be light refreshments and time to visit with other creatives.
