This week’s Friday Favorites: Inventory Inspiration is dedicated to my grandma’s love of sewing and one of my obsessions, sewing drawers. My Grandmother was an avid seamstress.  She made almost all my clothes, primarily out of necessity as I was a tall, lanky lad and none of the fashions for girls my age fit.  So, her and I would make weekly trips to the fabric store, hand picking one-of-a-kind fabrics for shirts or skirts that she would whip up within an hour (or so it seemed, no pun intended). When she passed away a few years ago, I inherited a sewing machine or two of my Grandmothers, along with a box of buttons, notions and many other crafting supplies.  I may have inherited some of her crafting skills, but that’s still up for discussion.

Sewing drawers with a burlap square (also in our inventory) used as a card/note holder.  Would look adorable with a doily as well. {source: Style Me Pretty}

Mason jar island built with stacked sewing drawers

I absolutely love this mason jar drink table.  This display incorporates drawers, milk and wood crates.  Mason jars are a great alternative to disposable glasses and add rustic charm to any event.  Isn’t it just amazing?! {source: Ala Crate Vintage}

sewing drawer utensil holder

If you’re looking for something to hold your utensils, sewing drawers are a great alternative to traditional holders (or mason jars).  {source: Rustic Wedding Chic}

stacked sewing drawers

These sewing drawers are stacked on top of a vintage soda crate (we have two in our inventory).  Great for added props to your wedding to give your event added vintage appeal.  {source: Style Me Pretty}

sewing drawer holding flowers

These flowers are nestled neatly inside a sewing drawer.  You can easily use sewing drawers as centerpieces filled with flowers as well.  {source: Funky Junk Interiors}

sewing drawers used to hold programs

Here’s another great program holder idea.  I especially love the paper airplanes in the metal crate.  Such an adorable display!  {source: Style Me Pretty}
