When it comes to creating a beautiful wedding, sometimes the perfect location can be one that seems quite out-of-the-box. This photoshoot drew on garden tea party wedding inspiration to style an intimate event at an urban nursery near the Fremont Bridge in NW Portland. Stylist Lane’ Bigsby of Something Borrowed Portland Vintage Rentals worked with photographer Terra Lange
to create a lush palette of pinks and purples, set against a green oasis. Existing topiaries and trees framed the couple and the reception table, swathed in a sequin tablecloth. The floral motif was carried throughout the hand-painted wedding invitation suite and dessert table, which featured tarts, scones, and cream puffs from Sweetheart
. Something Borrowed Portland’s floral-patterned vintage chinaware, glass dishes, teacups, and gold silverware completed the table lush with white and green flower arrangements, all set under a reconstructed lampshade bedecked with greenery. The flowing lace of the bride’s Claire LaFaye
gown and softness of hair and makeup completed the romantic mood and shone white against the verdant greenery of the surroundings.
