Today’s Friday Favorites {Inventory Inspiration} is short and sweet with a cool find: mattress springs! When I first laid eyes on the mattress spring we have in our inventory, I knew we had to have it. They make such a statement, with all their rusted, rustic charm. It was obvious the one we have spent a fair amount of time in a garden, with its many dried vines still attached to each spring. We plan on showcasing ours as a wall display, hanging from the ceiling to give our new studio space that perfect industrial feel.

This is a great example of the many things you can do with an old mattress spring. Tuck flowers into each spring, add some trailing greenery, and a banner, and you have one piece that’s sure to make a statement! {source: Sarah McKenzie Photography via Style Me Pretty}

Another great example is this “escort card holder”, as shown here. Attach each escort card with clothespins for a rustic look. {source: Meegan Weaver Photography via Style Me Pretty}

How’s this for a great way to display photo’s?! Great for your wedding or engagement photo prop, just add photo’s with clothespins and you’ve got an original photo collage! {source: Lisa Burgess Photography via Capitol Romance}

Yes, I realize this example has nothing to do with weddings (maybe a boudoir shoot), but OMG, isn’t it gorgeous! The springs become a gorgeous focal point! {source: photographer unknown}

And this spring, while small (fits on a table top), it makes for a great card or escort card holder (we have this style in our inventory, too!). {source: Redefine Home}
Have you used mattress springs in a unique way?

thanks for sharing Matt & Melissa’s box spring wedding picture display! LOVE the other box spring uses and inspiration you posted here!
You are very welcome! It’s a GREAT display (we may have to do something similar in our studio)!
Thanks for sharing! This is one of my favorite backyard weddings… Matt & Melissa were so creative! They actually pulled this old mattress spring from their neighbors pile of “junk”. Love those two!
