Another of our favorite resources when it comes to DIY plans – and one of our first stops whenever we want to know how to make something – is the Instructables site. As ever, the instructions are simple and easy to follow, and they are accompanied by lots of photos that show you exactly what to do. Another great plan that should be fun to attempt.

In this video, you’ll learn how to make a highly attractive rose ring. It looks intricate and complicated, but if you follow the instructions given to you by this talented YouTuber, it’s actually not that difficult at all. She also teaches you how to make a cute box to put it in, which is a nice bonus!

Here’s another video plan for making a beautiful rose ring. This video is super-short – it only lasts just over a minute – and in it, this YouTuber demonstrates the steps you need to follow to make an attractive piece of jewelry from paper. The ring you learn to make in this tutorial is a little different from many of the paper rings we’ve seen online. This also means that the finished article is more durable than an origami ring, so if you want something that will last, this could be the plan you’re looking for.

If you’re looking for plans for more durable paper rings, here’s another possibility. What we love most about these rings is how pretty and colorful they are – as you might expect from “rainbow rings”! This is another simple project that kids are sure to enjoy, and it’s also another plan that will be easy for them to follow. The only supplies you’ll need are colored paper, scissors and glue – and once you’ve shown them how, you can just leave them to get on with it!
12. Easy Modular Paper Ring
With this video, you can learn how to make a modular origami ring using just a few strips of black and white paper. We really enjoy the plans made by this YouTuber (we’ve included one or two more below!) because she explains everything in a way that is easy for anybody to understand and copy. Our friend from #12 and #14 is back again, this time making an amazing flower ring. We’ve mentioned that flower rings are a popular design, but the one she makes in this video looks a lot more intricate than most of the ones we’ve seen. But the good news is that, like with all the best plans, this one is much easier to complete than it looks. To finish with, here’s an energetic video plan complete with a lively soundtrack. It’s quite long – and there are no instructions as such. You just watch as this YouTuber demonstrates what to do, showing you how to make several Valentine’s Day-inspired origami rings.
